We are committed to the equity and inclusion of all pupils in all areas of school life.

At Streethay Primary School we recognise the diverse and individual needs of all of our pupils and we are dedicated to providing an education which enables them to achieve their full potential.

We believe in positive intervention, removing barriers to learning, raising expectations and levels of achievement and working in partnership with other agencies in order to provide a positive educational experience for every child, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The school has a dedicated team of people who work together alongside teaching staff to provide the very best educational offer for all learners, regardless of barriers.

Mr Taylor our Headteacher is passionate about inclusion and he leads this team. He is our Designated Teacher for Looked after Children, he works closely with staff to ensure all teachers in school understand the implications for those children who are looked after and have special educational needs. He is also our Pupil Premium leader.

Miss Cooper is our SENCO, she coordinates provision for children with SEND, involves agencies and supports the development of our teaching team. Miss Cooper is usually available each Wednesday should you wish to contact her.

Mrs Whitehead is our Family Support Worker, she supports both children and their families with a wide range of needs. She knows our local services well so she can signpost parents to support. She is also trained to deliver social skills groups and emotion coaching sessions.

Miss Pitcher is our Senior Mental Health Practitioner, she works closely with the team to develop mental health provision. She is also trained in Red2Blue (performance coach) approaches. She leads a team of pupil Red2Blue coaches across school, who support and model regulation strategies to their peers on a daily basis.

Mrs White is our private Speech and Language Therapist. She assess, provides targets and supports our teaching team meet the needs of those children with Speech Language and Communication difficulties. She is usually in school each Wednesday.

Mr Greenfield is our Academy Councillor responsible for SEND. He often completes monitoring work across school and he provides support/challenge for leaders overseeing provision for learners with SEND.
